A Bouquet For Bill - A Collector's Celebration of William Marshall

Kestle Barton, Cornwall - May 19th to June 24th 2012

Paul Vibert was born and raised in St. Ives where his father was the manager of the Leach Pottery for 25 years. As a boy, Paul collected pots rejected and thrown into the Stennack river by Bernard Leach, however as quickly as he brought them home his mother threw them out! This early fascination with pottery developed over the years and as his friendship with Bill Marshall grew so did Paul’s collection of Bill’s work. Paul visited Bill's Lelant pottery after firings and was able to purchase the pots that "talked" to him.

This exhibition, which features over 300 Bill Marshall pots, provides a unique opportunity to admire the full range of skills of a true master craftsman.

I would like to personally thank Paul for temporarily sharing his wonderful collection and Kestle Barton for providing a beautiful location for the exhibition.
